North Oxford and the coming of the ladies

The wide, tree-lined streets of North Oxford encompass the most beautiful (and most expensive) residential area of the city, yet it also contains all but one of the original ladies' colleges. This was the location where the dons of Oxford set up home when they were finally released from their vows of celibacy. Many famous people have lived and studied there including Professor Doll of lung cancer fame and James Murray the editor of the Oxford English Dictionary.  Hear all about them, and the colleges, pubs and parks that constitute this unique setting.
